About this service
Composite doors are heavier than uPVC and put far more load on the hinges and multipoint lock, so dropped slabs, stiff hooks and snapped cylinders are common. We repair composite door locks across West London, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire — realigning the slab, replacing failed multipoint mechanisms, fitting TS007 3-star anti-snap cylinders and swapping worn handles and letterplates that leak security.
What's included
- Dropped or dragging composite doors realigned at the hinges
- Multipoint mechanisms replaced for Solidor, Rockdoor, Hurst and generic slabs
- TS007 3-star anti-snap cylinders fitted to defeat lock snapping
- Handle, letterplate and cylinder guard upgrades
- Weather-seal and keep adjustment for draught-free closing
Our process
Check the alignment first
Most composite complaints are hinge drop rather than lock failure — we measure before we sell you parts.
Identify the mechanism
Slab thickness, backset and hook layout determine the correct replacement gearbox.
Repair or replace
Adjust hinges and keeps, or fit a new multipoint and cylinder where the gearbox is worn out.
Security upgrade
Optional 3-star cylinder and security handle so the door meets insurance requirements.
